Women's Groups

This coming year in Women’s Ministry, we will follow a broad theme of growing and maturing in Christ and what that looks like in the life of a woman of God. The Christian life embodies many Christian disciplines such as fellowship, Bible study, serving, praying and worship, just to name some. We will look at how these Christian disciplines apply to our own life personally and then how we can relate them to other women.

As Fall approaches, you can take this opportunity to see an overview of the upcoming agenda for Women’s Ministry.

We will have several different studies this year that will cover the months of September 2023 - March 2024. To quote our new Pastor, Richard Pettijohn, “we need to focus on the future of RBC. The goal is that we will look to the future with hope and joyous expectation of God moving in mighty ways.” I believe the Bible study choices for the year will help us do just that!

Jesus Over Everything
Jesus Over Everything

Study number two will be, “Jesus Over Everything,” by Lisa Whittle.

This study will help us uncomplicate the daily struggle to put Jesus first. We all want to put Jesus first and live simpler lives, but we struggle with both. While we are busy strategizing new ways to streamline our calendars and clean out the clutter in our closets, what really needs attention is what will give us long-term clarity and peace: the priority order of having Jesus over everything in our lives. In a culture that carries the confusion of overindulgence, endless options, and me-centered thinking, the Jesus-first life clears our minds and hearts of noise so our souls can find true meaning and rest. This six-week Bible study is a compelling call to give God His rightful place in our everyday lives.”

Ending January 18th

Galatians: Accepted & Free
Galatians: Accepted & Free

Our third Bible study will be: “Galatians – Accepted and Free,” by Jada Edwards.

The book of Galatians is a passionate letter explaining what it really looks like to be a follower of Jesus Christ and how our freedom in Him is certain. In this video Bible study, Jada Edwards teaches the importance of knowing that you are wholly and fully accepted in Christ, by Christ, and through Christ. As Jada walks you through Galatians see how the Apostle Paul delivers his very
passionate and urgent assurance, helping you understand that once you place faith in Jesus, you are transformed. You are made new. You are forever part of the family of God. You are fully accepted, and you are free.

Your God Knows
Your God Knows

The final Bible study for the year will be: “Your God Knows,” by Lisa Whittle.

“This powerful six-session Bible study reminds us that God is ever-present, always working, and forever faithful, no matter how weary or abandoned we may feel. Throughout history, God has said to His people: “I see you. I know you. And I will make this right.” This is a crucial message for women today, as we so deeply need to rest in an all knowing God who can handle what is happening in the world and in our lives. Lisa draws on Scripture throughout the Old and New Testaments as she helps answer six critical questions for our times:

Am I forgotten?

Am I doomed by the sins of my
family?

How does good come from bad?

Will God make wrong things right?
